『BAD FILM』は1995年に約1年間をかけて撮影されたものの、資金難のために未完成のままになっていた幻の映画だ。現在は使用されなくなったHi-8（8ミリビデオの高画質版）で撮影された150時間以上に及ぶ映像素材が本年再編集され、驚くべき作品が誕生した。映画のコンセプトは「香港返還の直前、20世紀末の東京・中央線で、沢山の人々が暴走し、愛が疾走する」。高円寺が中国人に乗っ取られつつあるという設定のもと、日本人自警団と外国人グループの抗争が中央線、新宿などを舞台に恐ろしく巨大なスケールで展開される。出演者の大半は、93年に園子温が結成したパフォーマンス集団「東京ガガガ」のメンバー。中央線の始発電車をまるごとジャックして撮影された両グループの激突、100人を超えるエキストラが動員された新宿アルタ前の大乱闘など、常識では考えられない場面が次々と展開し、...
