Women Talking breakout star Kate Hallett and Ragnarok star Herman Tømmeraas have nabbed lead roles in the teen thriller Sweetness from director Emma Higgins.
Hallet will play Rylee Baker, a 16-year-old who has a chance encounter with her idol, pop star Payton Adler (Tømmeraas), whom she soon discovers is a dysfunctional drug addict. Rylee decides to help Payton, only to see her misguided plan turn dark as she becomes intent on turning teenage fantasies into reality.

2024 劇情簡介：The indie centers on a South Asian family in Toronto and the suburb of Scarborough. Ash is caught between two worlds he must constantly traverse, one that of an aspiring writer in Toronto and that of his family in the immigrant-rich suburb of Scarborough. The ensemble cast includes Bernard White in the role of Vijay, Ash’s father who wants to reconnect with his estranged son, and Pamela Mala Sinha as Nisha, Ash’s mother.
